WHAT WE BELIEVE
@ 461 FELLOWSHIP CHURCH

At 461 Fellowship Church online, we believe in the tenants of the Christian faith as explained in the bible. Below is a snapshot of what we believe.

God in 3 persons

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

Jesus Christ

Who is Jesus? We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who was both God and man. He is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again on the 3rd day. A relationship with God comes about as a result of an individual asking for the forgiveness and repenting of their sins through Jesus Christ

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. (the GODHEAD) Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit . . .”

The Holy Spirit convicts individuals of their sin, directs them into a relationship with God through Christ and is the source of direction and guidance in the life of a believer.

Communion

We believe that Communion is an ordinance given to the church by Jesus Christ to remember His sacrifice on the cross and shedding His blood for the remission of our sins.  Communion is for all born again followers of Christ living in fellowship and obedience to Him.

The elements of communion are; the wafer, bread, or cracker, which represents the broken body of Jesus and the juice, represents His shed blood on the cross..

Water Baptism

We believe in biblical water baptism by immersion in water. It is an outward expression of an inward change in the life of the One who has received Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. Water baptism represents Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection..

Note: water baptism does not save you it is a command and an outward expression of an inward change in the life of the follower of Christ

The Rapture

We believe in the Second Coming of Christ..

We believe in the bodily, personal, premillennial, and imminent coming of Jesus Christ to catch away all believers unto Himself before the tribulation period; and in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Christ to the earth, with believers at the close of the tribulation period to judge the nations and to set up His millennial Kingdom on earth
